Removal and installation of a power shaft

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Take off the cap closing a wheel, a decorative cap or caps of bolts of fastening of wheels.
  2. Turn off on a corner 90 ° a bolt of fastening of the external hinge of a power shaft.

Weaken a bolt when the car costs on wheels. Danger of accident!

  1. Note shooters the direction of rotation of wheels. Turn off bolts of fastening of a wheel. Lift and install the car on supports and remove a wheel.
  2. Again wrap by hand all five bolts of fastening of a wheel.
  3. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the external hinge of a power shaft.
  4. Disconnect a power shaft from a flange shaft / check point.
  1. If there is no sufficient place to take out a power shaft, execute the following: turn off a nut (1), turn off a bolt and take out upward both levers (2).

Do not expand a groove in the wheel bearing case by means of a chisel or similar to it the tool.

  1. Take aside the wheel bearing case.

(3) and (4) do not turn off bolts since in this case adjustment of a forward suspension bracket will change and the running gear should be regulated again.

  1. Take out a power shaft.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Insert a power shaft into the wheel bearing case.
  2. Install into place both top levers. Establish a new bolt and tighten a new nut the moment of 40 Nanometers. At an inhaling of a nut press on the suspension bracket lever in the direction of the wheel bearing case as far as it is possible.
  3. Fix a power shaft on an axis/check point flange with podkladny plates. Tightening moment: M8 bolt – 40 Nanometers, a bolt of M of 10 - 70 Nanometers.
  4. Fix the external hinge of a power shaft by a new bolt. Tightening moments: M14 bolt – 115 Nanometers, M16 bolt – 190 Nanometers.

At a bolt inhaling the car can not concern the basis.

  1. Observe the direction of rotation of wheels. Fix a wheel, lower the car on wheels and only after that tighten bolts cross-wise the moment of 120 Nanometers.

Address the subsection "Removal and Installation of a Wheel" of the Section In case of emergency.

  1. Ask the assistant to tighten the parking brake.
  2. Tighten a bolt of fastening of a power shaft, tighten a bolt on a corner 180 °.
  3. Establish into place the cap closing a wheel, a decorative cap or caps of bolts of fastening of wheels.
