Replacement of the battery of emergency supply of the Telematik system

Each four years at cars with the Telematik system need to be replaced the battery of emergency supply.

The Telematik control unit is in electronics box around an arrangement of legs of the forward passenger, under a rug.

Necessary operational materials / the wearing-out parts: Battery of emergency supply.

Removal

Before shutdown of the battery it is necessary to activate service mode of the Telematik control unit, address the Section Replacement of the Rechargeable Battery.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a negative cable (-) of the rechargeable battery.

Observe indications of the Section Replacement of the Rechargeable Battery.

  1. Remove the lower facing at a rack And, raise a rug.
  1. Release a cover of the electronic block (an arrow on an accompanying illustration)
  1. Take out the Telematik system control unit from electronics box.

Do not switch-off the control unit.

  1. Turn out both screws from the lower party of the Telematik control unit (arrow) and uncover.
  1. Disunite the socket (1) and take out the emergency battery (2).

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Installation is carried out in the sequence, the return to removal.
  2. Attach a negative cable (-) of the rechargeable battery.

Observe the instructions provided in the Section Replacement of the Rechargeable Battery.

After connection of the battery service mode of the Telematik control unit needs to be deactivated, address the Section Replacement of the rechargeable battery
